Beware The Wheatshifter
My entry for the Ludum Dare 52 Compo

The Wheatshifter’s Behaviour (don't click if you’d like to figure it out yourself)
The Wheatshifter is able to move through exactly one piece of wheat at a time, but can break the rule while actively chasing the player (when the path between them is short enough). The Wheatshifter switches between tracking down the player and wandering aimlessly, spending 3-5 seconds in each mode.
Note: There’s a chance that the current levels won’t provide any real challenge, as I saved the level design for last. If you want something more demanding though, take a shot at the editor!

Aaaaa this is so cute omg! I did die to the Wheatshifter so so many times but that's ok haha it was so fun I kept coming back
